I do actually although I'm not really that much of a fanatic compared to the "real" otakus. It's just that I don't know what else to label myself as. 'Animanga lover' is a bit of a mouthful so...
course it depends on the definition, but i'd say i'm a step above an "anime fan", so i call myself an otaku. wouldn't call myself a creepy otaku though...
Yes i do Concider my self to be an Otaku. But my best friend laughs at me when i call myself an Otaku and he says his sister might be a bigger Otaku than you are my friend. I tend to disagree with him Cause i like/love more Anime than my best friend's sisiter does.
Well, one translation of the word 'otaku' is actually 'to be greatly obsessed with anime and manga'... I dunno about manga, but I'm definitely obsessed with anime... I mean, I walk around listening to Hokago Tea Time from K-On... I'm pretty sure that counts... Plus, I enact Bleach battles in my head and think about anime around half of the day... Yeah, I'm an otaku in that sense of the word. I assure you, though, I'm not a cross-dresser, or a drag queen. XDDDDDDD
No. I'm just a simple person, that loves his anime.
I've recently started collecting anime stuff though. But even though I have begun collecting these things, I still don't consider myself as one.
As for manga, I don't read it to be honest. Simply because I don't have the time to do so. I have some Korean manga sitting in my room though, mainly because they were super cheap, and I'll be studying them for drawing purposes. Going to start drawing again <3
But yeah. I am me, myself, and I. I don't see the point in putting any other label on myself, other than that!
I am obsessed and does nothing else than reading manga and watching anime.
But I call myself a "neutral otaku"
Which means that I am very social and can talk about other things, know about other things, and can socialise with pretty much anyone of any interest.
Even if it's actually a bad thing!~
And being an otaku is not a bad thing!
