One Piece may have poor animation and shading veiws but has TONS of commidy, action, violece, stupidity and like all uncesnsored Jap anime, swearing. The series even has voice actors that make you laugh (The main charicter was first voiced by a girl, and the main charicter is a boy!) Action and detail is beautiful within its own way and isn't as depressing as Cowboy Bebop or Fruits and Basket. It is even based very close to the Full Metal Alchemist timeline, so I also agree with Fitch

There are too many really good ones, to be able to name one as "The Greatesr of all time" Now, if you were to put them into there respwctive genres, such as "Comedy" "Romance" ect. E.G: Greatest Comedy Anime of all time" then it could work.

It's way too difficult to name the "best anime ever" first and foremost because new anime comes out every year so opinions can change and there are really a number of great anime and to name one over the rest..not sure if I could do that.

Even though my favs are Yu-Gi-Oh! and Bleach i think Death Note deserves this title,i mean a notebook where you write a person's name and that person dies,that's a brilliant idea!That anime has so much depth and puts you into so much thought about the world,justice etc,it's great!

I've just recently re-watched the entire series and it is as captivating as the first time when i watched it few years back..
The entire concept and plot is just Original.
It does deserve the title(IMO), even though there are as many awesome anime out there.. but however, DN holds a special place in my heart..
