Although the animation follows closely to the Japanese art style, it is in fact Korean. Both the Last Airbender & Korra came from American aurthors but had the animation done by Korean artists. :)

If it doesn't decend from Japan and it's not dubbed into english then it's not an anime to me.

It's animesque, and it's the Japanese definition of anime, but it's an American cartoon.

Ok, to all those who say its "like anime" but says "Its not anime since its not made in Japan" you have caught yourself in a contradiction.

By your definition, anime is just a cartoon made in Japan.

Then how can Avatar have anything relatable to your version of an "anime"?

The simple fact is, if all you see in anime is "a cartoon made in Japan," then your fanship is silly and shallow.

I don't know about you, but there is SOOO much more to anime, something SOOO much more special about it.
