Anime Question

What anime would you show a 20 year old guy who has never watched anime before?

In my opinion I think a good starter anime for a 20 year old guy would either be One Piece or Naruto. A mainstream anime that doesn't have too much gore or fan-service to tell them that anime isn't only about that.

Try to show him an anime that tailors to his preferences. Like i.e if he likes comedy alot. Show him a comedy anime. Or action and such and such. If I am trying to introduce someone into anything. I'll use what I know of them to find the best thing to introduce them to.

Technically no gore, as it takes place in a video game, but Sword Art Online. Naruto is a good choice, too. An anime I just started watching is Your Lie in April, and I'm in love with it. Pun half-intended. Just don't watch Your Lie in April if you don't think he'd want to watch a story of an 8 grade boy and his friends in a small love triangle. (I'm only on the 10th episode, so maybe it's about more then an ex-piano prodigy and the girl he likes and the girl who likes him.)
