Can someone help me find this anime please!!!

Okay so... There was this anime I watched a long time ago on Netflix, but I forgot what's it called. It was about a boy, girl and scientist. They boy and girl were created after many tests. Finally, it worked and they had something special so they studied them. One day the lab exploded and when it did the boy and girl held hands to protect the scientist. The kids were passed out and they had like a butterfly wing shield thing when they held hands. Those 3 were the only survivors. Then the story continued... I don't think I finished it so I want to continue, but I don't know what it is *cries* can someone please tell me!!!!! PLEASE!!!
