Anime Question

Simple question: what is THE most underrated anime, in your opinion?

Sorry if this has been asked before - I have the memory of a fish.

My choice is Space Brothers/Uchuu Kyoudai. It is such a brilliant anime, in fact it's in my top five, and yet I practically NEVER seem to see or hear it mentioned. There is a Fanpop club for it, but there are only thirteen fans. It's so much better than a lot of the popular anime out there, it's ridiculous. Space Brothers is funny, heartwarming, gripping and (rarest of all in anime) light-hearted without being annoyingly goofy(characters over-reacting to small things etc). Give it a try, if you're looking for something to watch - you wont regret it! Probably...

I have to disagree..there's no way Space Brothers is better than Naruto!

It's not underrated. When I searched for anime less than 20 episodes, Baccano was the most popular option. I tried watching it though...it was not very attractive.

Maybe now, but back then, when it first came out, it was dominated by every other popular anime at the time.

Origin: Spirits of the Past. I know it's an anime movie but seriously there are twelve fans overall on the fanpop club and I barely see or hear of it anywhere. The characters might have lacked development, but they weren't annoying and the girls were actually really good examples of what girls should be in anime (strong commander, an average girl, an elderly wise woman and an annoying little sibling who is quite likable at times). It has great original ideas compared to some anime I've seen, whether they be films or anime series. The soundtrack is beautiful and so are the visuals. The voice acting in English is pretty good, though for people who watch the Japanese dub you might get annoyed since that version is quite annoying at certain moments. But it does deserve much more attention than it gets.

I think it's DanMachi. It's still new with just 13 episodes so far, but I think it's awesome! DanMachi is just a nickname though. It's full name is "Is It Wrong To Try To Pick Up Girls In A Dungeon?" It has a fanpop club too, but there's only 5 members.

It's risen from the two fans that it started with when I joined to a solid eight, and I still am a little confused as to why no one knows about it. It's really clever and has pretty good characters. None of them, even the "token-girl-character" or the overly smart/independent one are dislikable. I came to love every character and their solving mysteries was really interesting. No, it's not perfect, but eight fans?? It's just as good as Case Closed in my opinion. The only problem with it is the fact that they stopped funding it and the show never got a proper ending.
