^ Hetalia is officially Seinen, which is anime/manga for guys over 18 years old. The Americans have made the anime more "harmless", yet, America has officially given Hetalia the same age rating as South Park, which is certainly not suitable for an 8 year old.

It really depends on her personality. Also, would she be okay with subs or not? Because some shows don't have dubs.

Some shows I was really into when I was younger were Pokemon, Yugioh, and Beyblade, but there are lots of other shows too so!!

I'd recommend:
- PreCure/Pretty Cure! All of the seasons are of a different set of characters with a different plot. They can be watched in any order.
- Sailor Moon While there is the old 4kids dub, there's also a brand new dub! You can also choose between the original anime and the new Sailor Moon Crystal so that's always nice!
- Shugo Chara It's really a fun show. It's got action and drama and comedy and romance and more and is really a good show!! Plus, it's not too heavy for kids.
- Tokyo Mew Mew This was the second anime I ever watched (unless you count the stuff I watched when I was little, but I didn't know what anime was then so). It's really a wonderful show with likable characters and an interesting plot.
- Ojamajo Doremi/Magical Doremi It's a cute show about witches! It's aimed towards kids but really has some heavy stuff in later episodes tbh but it handles everything very well.
- Nichijou A slice of life anime. You never really know what's coming next and it's super fun to watch!
- Ouran High School Host Club Do I even need to explain this one? Great show for people of any age 11/10 would watch again.
- Squid Girl/Shinryaku Ika Musume A fun sci-fi/slice of life anime.
- Free! My brother's first anime!! He doesn't watch anime that much but he really liked this one. It's a sports anime.

There are also Studio Ghibli movies out there if she would like to see those!

Remember, she might not get into it and that's ok! Don't try to force her if she ends up not liking anime!
