First, Soul Eater. A shounen that differs from the standard in that the main character is a girl, but is still very good regardless. It centers around a group of kids who attend an academy dedicated to training kids to kill demon souls, or Kishin souls, which spread madness throughout the world. These kids are special, ad they are either trained as Meisters, or have the invorn ability to transform parts or their whole bodies into demon weapons. These weapons partner up with the meisters to combat kishin souls, and the ultimate goal of every Meister is to obtain 99 Kishin Souls and 1 witch soul, the requirements for a demon weapon to transform into a dath scythe, a powerful weapon that the grim reaper, lord death, is able to use. I rally like it, and id you like Naruto, DBZ, and Bleach, you might as well.
Next up, Yu-Gi-Oh!-Arc V. I know you said that the original is the only one that mattwred, but Arc V is really good in my opinion. It gwts pretty freakin' bad*ss later on, and Yuya, the protagnist(s) is good...and the other dimension hims too....i guess...anywho, i think you should definitely watch it if you like the Yu-Gi-Oh series, because it does very well, my personal second favorite, with the original being first.
Nanatsu No Tazai is my third suggestion, and it is another action anime similar to Naruto/Bleach/DBZ, but stands out in it's own ways. It's story is centered around the seven deadly sins(you know, wrath, envy, lust, grewd, gluttony....all those.), and the main character, Meliodas, happens to be wrath. I love the characters, the story, the fights...i can't really tell you why you SHOULDN'T watch it.
