Post the first character who dies in your favorite anime. *SPOILERS GALORE, ANSWER AT YOUR OWN RISK*

Rena Ryugu and Mion Shinosaki are shown being beaten to death by Keiichi in the beginning of Higurashi Ni Naku Koro Ni. (It's not shown who died first, but I'll assume they died somewhere near the same time.)
