I LOVE HANAMARU KINDERGARTEN. I wish it was mainstream like Attack on Titan or Bleach.

I think that anime does have a fandom. I looked it up on imdb and quite a few knew about it.

Since Lain was taken, then Texhnolyze. Definitely Texhnolyze.
It's one of those anime that I just can't exactly describe through words. The meaning, the story, I personally loved it. That's probably to be expected from ABe.
However, I have only ever seen ONE person mention it out of the blue on the internet at all. There is absolutely no fandom for this anime, and it needs some credit.

From someone who's seen it, does the show get a bit more understandable after the first episode? I tried watching it and it seems interesting, but I was just totally lost.

I guess you could say that . . . true, this anime is not for people who aren't willing to process complicated plots. I for one was able to understand it, so I don't know . . .

I'll give it another shot then. It sounds like something I may like.

Psychic Detective Yakumo is really underrated. I don't know if it's the kinda silly sounding name, the seemingly overused plot, or dark animation/color style. But this anime moved me so much. I've seen a power like Yakumo's before in other anime (being able to see ghost) but my goodness does this anime dive deep into his backstory and why he does what he does. It also has one of the WORST villains ever! Very rarely do you see a villain that has no redeeming qualities whatsoever. And the paradox this anime leaves you with over "him" is amazing. And my god the symbolism in this anime.... Love!

I learned so much from this anime. It has one of the deepest messages of walking away from what others think you should be or what you think you are "destined" for and forming your own path. For it only having 13 episodes, it has a lot to offer.

Note: Music can be loud so turn down volume. Oh and the singer is Daisuke Ono (voice actor of Yakumo and Sebastian from Black Butler)

Detective Acadamy Q. I kid you not, there is no fandom. A handful of people even know about this show, at least in the U.S. I literally NEVER hear about it. And why not? It's a great show! Yeah, the art is older and the characters aren't ground-breaking, but it's a really good take on murder mysteries. It never got a dub licence or a continuation, so that makes me think both the U.S. and Japan are ignoring it, but again, why? The characters are likable and the mysteries are actually really good. Come on, people! Help build a fandom that should have existed 11 years ago.
