Anime Question

What's the strangest concept you have watched?

Post a really strange plot/ set-up for an anime. I know it's a vague question because there are a lot of strange anime out there for different reasons and they make weird normal. Just list why it made it especially strange to you. Then how did you end up felling about it? liked it? hated it? mixed feelings?

Tsuritama for me was the strangest set up in an anime. Learning how to fish, aliens, dancing, bright colors? The whole time I was watching it, I was just thinking 'what the hell is that?' I still have no idea how I feel about this anime... I felt strange for watching it and really odd that I kept watching it... but it was certainly, memorable? lol

I would have to say Hetalia Beautiful World was the strangest for me. Especially episode 11. But I was already so invested into it that I couldn't stop myself from watching it and loving it.

Gatchaman Crowds. I literally started this 2 days ago, am on episode 10, and am still scratching my head wondering what in the name of Alchemy is going on. The story is kinda typical: normal girl gets superpowers, joins super-team, and kicks alien butt. Sorta. However, the characters are what make me wonder if the creators just went on a giant acid trip and decided to make an anime afterwords. Let's see... we have a high school boy who carries a katana almost everywhere; a girl obsessed with scissors and has nothing close to an inside-voice; a dandere girl in a bikini who can heal people; a gay half-alien; a panda-like alien; a crossdressing 18 year old who's practically taken over the world and who's only friend is a computer system; and the Joker's bisexual alien cousin. ...um... WHAT?? I almost didn't watch it, but the opening... gah, that opening refused to let me give up, much like K, another weird anime. The whole plot is really cliche, to be honest, but it's lovable. Well, except the crossdressing 18 year old. He's sort of original for this kinda plot. I think.
What can I say, it grew on me. I love it so far and the characters are all really memorable. And really, really messed up.

^It is, and having just finished it, I'd say it's worth a watch.

I think the reason why I enjoyed this show was only because of the characters, namely Hajime, Utsutsu, and Rui

Ben-to... Really the whole plot is about people fighting to obtain half-priced bento at the supermarket. Everyone takes it seriously and there's even a set of rules that the contenders play by while fighting.

Meganebu!
It's pretty much the title. A club. About glasses. That's it. That's the entire show.
If you don't wear glasses you don't even appear as human until you put them on. Glasses. There are ghosts. Tears are shed. A board game comes to life. Food. Glasses.

Glasses.
