Anime Question

Post an anime series wherein the main character isn't very popular among the series' fans.

DuRaRaRa!!'s Mikado Ryuugamine doesn't seem to get that much attention, despite being the main protagonist. The fan base is more focused on other characters such as Izaya, Shizuo, Celty, Kida, and so on and so forth. Heh, not that I blame them. He's a boring character....

Yeah, I've been reading MN and Yuno is my second favorite so far, but Yukiteru, on the other hand... it's not like me to hate characters for being "wimpy" or "weak", but something about that kid just bugs me. >_<

I love Shu; I find him to be a very realistic character who is easy to relate to. =)

All the NGE I see on my tumblr dash is of the female cast, and when Shinji actually does appear, it's always in shipping images (with kaworu obviously).
It just gets annoying having him treated as a joke tbh like i relate to him a lot and he's a really realistic character and just because he's not like a standard shounen anime protag like all of them are used to doesnt mean you can treat him and his problems like crap.

Everyone constantly asked for a character who shows anxiety and depression realistically. They still do. But of course, they were given SHINJI IKARI from NGE, and called him a wimp, a crybaby, and said that "oh he just has daddy problems boohoo". All the NGE I see on my tumblr dash is of the female cast, and when Shinji actually does appear, it's always in shipping images (with kaworu obviously). I think he is relatable but I just got so frustrated with him throughout the original series he's cool in the rebuild movies tough

Aw, I love Shinji. <3 He's so realistic. Honestly, I'd act pretty wimpy too if I was put in his situation.
