Anime Question

For those of you who watch Soul Eater...

(I've never watched Soul Eater.)

I've heard that Death The Kid has an obsession with symmetry; but, if this is the case, why does he look asymmetrical himself? Is it revealed, or... is it just one of those random unanswered questions? Like why is Bleach called Bleach? Actually, that may have been answered, now... I'll go and check.
