Anime Question

Good yaoi? *hides behind couch*

I'm really picky with my yaoi. Also with some, the animation bothers me and I find a few to be cheesy. Please and Thankyou :3


P.S I know that this is an anime club but I prefer the answers on here compared to the ones on yaoi clubs.

You might as well ust ask here, Yaoi Fanpop club exists, but like most of the clubs here, it's just sitting dead from inactivity.

Except for the fact that it has a non-ending :( Also it's BL; yaoi has to have sex in it.

The mangaka DID end the hiatus though, & has picked up the manga again. The art style changed a LOT.

It's pretty hard to come across yaoi that doesn't have rape, incest, & shotacon in it. After a few decades, you just grow numb to it.

The one shots tend to have a "they will, but when & how" story with a paper thin plot & one or both guys act like virginity is something that needs to be preserved instead of gotten rid of as quickly as possible (being a virgin is humiliating for men) & that first kisses are special....Just bad writing & too much melodrama.

I like something with character development, love polygons, a meddling overprotective brother who gets in the way, an element of taboo, an actual story.

But sometimes I just want smut that's really nicely drawn & either has a good story or is silly or is just extremely obscene & wrong.

Sadly those two things never seem to cross over. The first one is usually classic BL where no one has sex until the last volume.

So do you want smut or do you want plot?

*Use categories to find tropes like "slow romance" "love triangle" "teacher student" "bdsm" "uke falls in love first"...Stuff like that.
*Alternately, you can go up to GENRE & click on Yaoi. It will take you to a refined search engine where you can exclude & include alternate genres, doujinshis, fully scanlated series, etc.
