**spoiler alert haha**- part of Kushina and Minato were sealed within Naruto when they sealed the 9-tailed fox. And when Naruto was training and needed help so 9-tails wouldn't take over, Minato appeared and later on in the series Kushina appeared.

When Naruto first meet his dad for real, he ran to him and punched him first and then hugged him. Naruto was upset that his dad sealed the fox inside him and wanted to know why his own father would cause his son so much pain
