Anime Question

Anime recommendations for my friend

my friend wants some new anime to watch and I'm not entirely sure what to give her. See these are her preferences for anime,

1. Good main characters and Villains
2. interesting plot line
having characters she likes means a lot to her

anyone have any ideas? She doesn't like romance, that's about all I can tell you.

What do you mean by good Villians?

I'd recommend Soul Eater. It has characters you can easily care about and great villains. It has boys and girls working together to slay witches, but there's no real romance.

Thanks for the suggestion, she's already seen Soul Eater though, but your right very good characters!

I'd recommend RWBY to anyone who likes Soul Eater. It's not quite anime (made in America with CG), but very close, and is on YouTube.

If I can make any recommendations I possibly suggest Fairy Tail, Code Geass R2, Spiral: The Bonds of Reasoning, Inuyasha The Final Act, or Buso Renkin.

Well upon hearing 'no romance' (unless you count Yagami's manipulating of Misa Amane as romance), good villains, an interesting plotline and good characters I instantly thought of Death Note. Whether it's the sort of thing she would like I'm not sure, but I certainly enjoyed the manga and am working my way through the anime, and I thought it ticked all those boxes.

I don't know if your friend will like them, but I'll try to list a few different anime that I think might meet the criteria.

Claymore
A Certain Scientific Railgun
Puella Magi Madoka Magika
Darker Than Black

That's all I can really think of. Most of them are a bit dark, but, since plot is important I didn't pick slice of life. I also left out ecchi and you said no romance, so that limited what I could think to recommend.

Thanks for the recomendations, she's read some of claymore and said she didn't like the art, when she first told me of her problem I told her to try madoka magika, hopefully now she will, thanks again!
