I would say Sekai Ichi Hatsukoi can be classified more as a shounen-ai, at least concerning the anime. Either way, I would say it's my favorite. ^ ^

Shounen-ai is like Shojo-Ai, except it's about the love between guys. K-On wouldn't qualify, because there's no guys in it.

^ Yeah, Shounen-ai is about guys. Also, K-ON isn't even Shoujo-ai because there's no canon romance, only friendship.

from their answer on favorite shoujo-ai series I can only assume that they are very, very uniformed on these genres, oh well have to learn somehow

Ouch! I think this one pushes a bit past Shounen-Ai.

Nope lol its considered Shounen-ai. i prefer the original OVA's story vs the 2012 remake which differs slightly but it is closer to the actual novels

I generally don't watch Shounen-Ai. The one I watched the most episodes before eventually dropping is Uraboku. In this show, since the main male character is the re-incarnation of the other main character's dead girlfriend, I can sort of understand why he might still have strong feelings for him. The other thing it has going for it is a good fantasy setting and artwork. In general, I can watch Shounen-Ai as long as I can "look past" it at other aspects of the show, but once things get too heated, I bail.
