Help me figure out the name to this anime.

I watched a show awhile back. I think romance and had a 50/100 chance of being supernatural. In the story the villain or bad guy loved the main girl and protected her without her knowing it.In order to protect her, he made her hate him or something like that.

I know this is confusing but it been irritating me not knowing what it is!
