Anime Question

This is a really weird question.

I was wondering the internet looking at fanart, watching anime, and reading fanfics. I was hoping to find inspiration, but instead, a question arose. Many people seem to be turned on by yanderes and blood. I was wondering, and please don't flag this, are you turned on by blood? This is purely based around anime, and to find peoples opinion. I'll say my opinion if you truly wish to know or are thinking fair is fair.
This is a really weird question.

I'm trying to see what people like about blood, or dislike about blood. My big question is why are there only huge extremes? There are only three ways people see blood. They can't stand the sight, they absolutely love it, or don't care at all.

This is prying into the corners of the mind trying to answer questions. Also curiosity.

If it be to weird i will delete the question. Just don't flag it. I don't like dealing with that situation.

to be honest...no, i DON'T get turned on by blood.
but there probably will be people out there who DO get turned on by all that stuff :P

i don't really mind watching anime with blood, and in a way blood can be or is good (visual effects, for the storyline etc.) :3

imagine a vampire anime without blood :O what will the vampires drink?? an anime with killing and stabbing but no blood?? Higurashi without blood??

so in the end, i don't mind seeing blood and i think it is very important :)

I agree with you, in some shows blood is necessary e.g vampire shows.

Must say, very interesting question.

Hmm. Well, I have noticed how peoples reactions are extremes where they either love it, hate it, or couldn't care.

Blood represents life. Many people are scared of blood because the presence of it shows life being taken away and that the fragility of life is something they're afraid of. While others can find blood and someone's life on the line to be exciting and thrilling to watch and can turn them on as you say. It just depends on the person.

Visually, when you see it in any media, the colour red is such a powerful colour; it's bold, it's exciting, it makes a statement. It definitely attracts the eye. Though, when this colour is associated with blood on-screen, it adds a whole new level of fear and danger but still attracts.

I personally like seeing blood in anime, I only like seeing it animated though and absolutely hate blood in any live action movie or in real life.

Well, I rambled and I probably haven't answered your question in the slightest bit...my bad ;P

I generally don't like seeing blood in an anime. But there are times I think it can be quite artistic and nice actually. A bloody scene could be awesome, could be disgusting, or could barely register. Depends how its done and the context i guess and perhaps the state of my mind.

I don't really like blood in animes, but if there is just a little or if it isn't red, then I can stand it. For example, BRS shows a lot of blood, but it is blue or purple.

When you love someone to the extreme as Yuno, to willingly kill for them.. Yeah. It's the strongest form, in my opinion. lol.

No, I'm not particularly turned on by blood in shows I watch.
If it's just blood and not gore it doesn't bother me or anything but it's not something I'm like fanatic about.

For me I do not get turned on by blood , but just seeing it in an anime helps me to understand the severity of a situation or how serious a characters injuries are . In fact in some anime's they censor blood which makes it unrealistic especially if it is a really violent anime . In my opinion it depends on the anime your are watching if you like blood of not . For example , I hate seeing blood in funny anime's or harems since they are supposed to be light hearted . But , in other more serious and darker anime's seeing blood is a necessity for me to make the anime realistic and to help me understand what is going on .

Sexually turned on by blood? No, but I do think it's a nice factor in an anime or manga. I wouldn't mind a bit about blood, but turned on by the slightest sight of it is a huge no for me. More than turned on you can say i'm 'fascinated' by it.

I don't know about "turned on", exactly, but I enjoy a bit of it. It can enhance the impact of a scene and express the severity of the wound, and it can make something interesting.

It's a bit of a balancing act, however. Too much blood can seem like the artist, animators, or writers were trying too hard, but too little can decrease how a scene appears or almost make it seem like it was meant for small children.

It really does vary.

Nope. I'm sure there are a lot of anime fans who are a little sadistic and do like that stuff, but I'm not one of them. I personally feel queazy when I talk about blood or body parts, but mostly body parts.

I'm a scaredy-cat who doesn't like gore, but strangely, I don't mind seeing a lot of animated blood. I'm not sure about live-action blood though. I sometimes even think it's cool or hot when I see an anime character covered in blood, and I really like sadistic characters. ^_^' Heh..I guess it depends.

I get excited when I see gore, especially if it is well done. Baccano was a bloodfest for me, and I think blood adds this sort of thrill to an action scene. It depends whether it fits too, though. If a shoujo randomly has bloodbaths for no reason, I would hate it.

Do I like blood and gore in anime? Yes. Am I aroused by it? No.
As a fan of bloody and gory anime, I actually kinda don't know why I like it so much. I think it's that it isn't your typical run-of-the-mill anime, or that there's something highly interesting about your adorable, moe anime characters tearing each other apart (+ gibs!).

I love seeing blood in Animes, I laugh when people get ripped to shred and stuff like that but never aroused, unless it's Elfen Lied with Kaede then it's another story... just kidding but still I love Kaede <33.

Personally I'm not really into blood. In an action scene it can help set the mood and I like it then, but I hate gore. I'm not really into yandere either. I can sort of see the appeal, but it's not really my thing. Whether a character is yandere or not doesn't effect if I like them. I go on a case by case basis. Unlike Tsundere, in which case I've never seen one I didn't like.
