Kenichi: the Mightiest Diciple (picture).
It's about a boy who becomes the diciple of 5 martial arts masters. It's a fighting anime.

Bamboo Blade.
It's not as violent of an anime as Kenichi. It's about a man who creates a kendo team of 5 girls and 2 boys. They compete against other teams all across Japan.

Tsubasa; Reservoir Chronicle.
More of a magic/fantasy anime. It's about an archeologist, a princess, a magician, and a ninja who have to travel across dimensions to find sonething very important to the princess.

For both anime and manga, there ain't no better choice than OHSHC (ouran high school host club). The anime is shorter than the manga, though. But it's a pretty cool anime... *points at video* (link)
