Can you get too old for Anime?

Umm..probably not? i mean there's anime for adults to really, i know adults that love it. Most have mature themes also probably not it depends on you though.

I mean, I watch anime with my mom all the time, and she's... like... 50 I think?

Anime is no different than regular books or movies or shows except it's foreign and animated, and everyone loves a good story regardless or age, so why does the method of story telling matter?

Besides, I think it would be really freaking awesome to see an old lady reading manga.

yeah age is just a number, beside there are people who love it that much ( me) who will read it for years on end

I've been watching anime avidly for half my life now (ages 18 to 35), and don't plan on stopping. If anime was a part of someone's youth, I think it's likely it can stay with them for the rest of their lives. Kinda like how you can still be a Beatles fan in your 60's, even though when the Beatles came out, it was something for young people. It's unusual nowadays to see someone in their 50s getting into anime because it's not likely something that was part of their youth. But in another 20 and 30 years, I don't think it will be that unusual at all.

I'd be suprised to see an old lady reading manga, but I actually think it'd be cool. Besides, in my opinion, you're never too old for a good story and anime has some of the best stories around. So no, you can't get too old for anime. I know I never will.

i say never, i'm like 84 and i still watch bleach every saturday. no i'm just kiddin but still anime is the best and i will promise you that i will not stop watching it until i die and beyond ¦:(

Never!!! There are different animes for different age group. For example, I like to watch Doraemon when I'm still a child. As a teenager, I prefer to watch Ranma 1/2 & Inuyasha (a bit of romance). And now I'm into Bleach & Gintama.

Most people don't like anime when they're adults but I don't think it would be weird if they did.
And not all anime is yaoi or shoujo ^-^; but if an old man (or any man for that matter) is watching that then yes..He has problems O.o

No way,regardless of what anyone says I think anime is for whomever wants to watch it and all ages if that person can handle the content of the specific anime and I would have no place in telling someone that they were either "too young" or "too old" for anime it's their choice to watch it.

I don't think there is. Anime is for all ages, so u can never grow to old for it... It's not like cartoons where watching Power Puff girl at age 20 is strange

I guess it's more normal to be out partying, drinking, and having sex with random people and getting diseases. Yep, that sounds like a lot more fun that watching anime for the rest of my life. xD

I honestly don't understand why people get so hung up on age. You are who you are, you like what you like. And if other people can't accept that fact, then It's there own damn proplem.

I myself am 22, and love anime. Mainly because I grew up with all of the old classics.
If someone thinks you're too old for it, then tell them to get stuffed.

I don't really think so... I mean, I think it's to do with old ladies and old men not having a wide access of anime in their generation, so they might not pick it up at such an old age.

Also, I get the feeling there are much more shounen and shoujo anime than seinen and josei <-- I might be wrong though.

Well i don't see why anyone could be too old for anime, because in the end you're as old how you feel. And if anyonee disapproves you watching it i'd say its their problem. If it's what you like best you shouldn't let yourself be hold back in doing so

i just hit 20, quite frankly most people including my friends find it weird that i still like them.

i still watch them time to time..to answer your question i would say, in some ways you will grow out of anime ...like things that are childish .

but other anime ...nope i dont think i might stop anytime soon

I will never get too old for anime! I don't know if I will love anime forever tho.. but I love it so much now and I don't think an old lady or an old man who loves anime or read manga is weird.. ITS SO COOL.. I would love my grandmother or my mother to be like that >.>

There are anime for all ages, therefore there is no age limit. Yes, it might be weird to find the occasional cosplay in your moms closet, but it's no different from liking any other TV show. I can't imagine a time when I'll just stop liking anime.

Simply put: No way. Never. I have been an anime fan for quite a long time now and I am currently 29. So overall you're never too old for anime ^_^
