Post an anime character getting tricked

Ultra Magnus pretends to have turned a new leaf so he can fool Optimus Prime into combining with him into Omega Prime, which would've given Magnus much more power as well as control of the Matrix. It only partially works, though, since Optimus has just as much control over Omega Prime as Magnus does.
