Anime Question

Anime relationships

1)List animes & mangas where the couple you were hoping together never hooked up. Perhaps one of them was killed off. Perhaps the author went from being a shipteaser to a shipsinker & nobody hooked up with anybody.

2)List animes or mangas where you were disappointed by a hook-up. Perhaps you wanted the person to stay single, a different hook-up, or you just thought the pair was ill-mated & had no real chemistry.

3)List animes or mangas where you thought there'd be romance but there wasn't any.

My answers:

1)School Rumble trolled it's viewers at the very end. *The "Hands Off" manga's heavy BL subtext didn't pay off at all in the end.
*The mangaka who created Gintama is a notorious troll & odds are against anyone hooking in that manga no matter what ship they support.
*Code Geass does this does this regardless if you're hoping for a hetero or gay couple.
*Even though Jiyuu wanted Koinosuke to stay at the end of Juubei-Chan, his loyalty lied with with Lord Juubei & he chose to pass away.
*The Kyou Kara Maou animes are no longer being made, so we have to wait till the manga ends to find out who Yuuri ends up with.
*It's pointless with Hetalia; no one can stay in a relationship for more than a few episodes before moving on to somebody else.
*Slayers: Lina & Gourry get convenient amnesia & their potential relationship is never addressed again in any other season.
*Yami no Matsuei manga was cancelled & never completed. Tsuzuki had 2 love interests he was torn between & 2 guys he would never even consider.

2)
*Ranma 1/2 created a whole bunch of pairings & then ended on the most obvious one.
*Fruits Basket: I hate all of the canon pairings in the end. The mangaka was also trolling BL fans like she was Anne Rice.
*Ouran Highschool Host Club. BL trolling aside, I'm adamantly against a woman coming between the close relationship of brothers or close friends. It also annoys me that a clearly asexual girl
*
Forgot Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro: Most were rooting for Neuro & Yako to hook up, but she's a mortal with a short lifespan & he'll live forever.

When i think of ship-teasers/sinkers it makes my stomach feel like i want to barf all over their artwork! If they are going to lead you on and then dissappoint you in the end they are scum in my book. Perhaps the most famous of all the shipsinkers out there for me is the creators and scriptwriters for Avatar the last airbender. They had the whole thing set up for Zuko and Katara to get together in the end but they blew the whole thing off in the span of a single episode! I was like :O when i found out that Mai was just randomly stuck in there as Zuko's fiance!!!!!!!??? They hadnt even met or interacted in the series before that one episode near the end! If he really loved her dont you think that there would have been an attempt on his part to try and contact her even though he was banished!? Or vice versa? While on the other hand, like I said, they had it set up soooooo nicely for Zuko and Katara to fall in love and even set up an entire episode in the earlier part of the series for them to bond alone in a cave and they almost kissed if not for Aang busting in at that very moment. There was also the little things that grabbed my attention that had no meaning other wise. Like in one episode Zuko's uncle Iroh was telling him to forget the avatar now that they was in BaSingSe and start anew. At that very moment *and remember this was and EARTH KINGDOM CAPITAL* He saw in the market a moonflower from the water tribes and he said " The moon flower likes to be in partial shade" >_< Now is it just me or was that not the perfect embodiment of this :
(inference)
-Moon flower from Water Tribes likes partial shade so then......
(inference)
-Partial shade = Darkness + Light
(inference)
Darkness+Light = Sun and Moon
(inference)
Sun and Moon = Katara and Zuko

They did a slop job on the ending of the series as a whole too.......artwork was fine, but i think that is the only thing they focused on X(

^ well your opinion I guess....i kinda know what you mean, but as far as American animation is concerned.....Avatar last Airbender is the best they could pull off. And as an artist i always say to those who critique others artwork......if you cannot do it yourself then dont say anything negative. Thnx

1: Code Geass-what you said -_-

Acchi Kocchi. There is obvious romance the whole thing, and in the end, no confession, no kiss, it ends just how it started!! Good Lord!! *tears hair out*

Highschool of the Dead. I don't know if there ever was a bigger tease than that show. There are romantic moments with a lot of the girls with the main male, but it ends with no resolution whatsoever.

No.6. God, No.6!!! There is so much teasing in that show!!! And then Safu, if you are a hetero shipper, dies; and and if you're a shipper of the two main boys (more likely) Nazumi leaves immediately after a teaser kiss! DX<

Vampire Knight. Gaaaah Yuki belongs with Zero!!!! Screw Kaname!!!!

Elfen Lied. I despise Kouta's cousin, but Lucy dies in the end (I think.) depressing show on top of all that.

2: Mirai Nikki. Okay, so it's completely obvious who is going to end up in the end, but Akise Aru dropped hints the whole time about him liking Yuki the whole time, and right when he finally confesses and kisses him, Yuno kills him! And Yuki admits he loves her in the end!! GRRR!!

Fruits Basket. Okay I was totally rooting for Yuki. I don't like Kyou all that much.

FLCL. The show was too short for me to remember names, but I wasn't wanting the boy to end up with Haruko, but with his brother's girlfriend.

Angel Beats. There is minor hints at romantic potential between a few characters, but the main hints are a few "bromance" moments between Hinata and Otonashi. THen they both randomly confess to their girl as she is disappearing and it ends sadly. :(

3: Bleach. Enough said.
Ouran Highschool Host Club. What you said, again -_-
Another. I could have sworn SOMETHING would have happened between the main boy and Misaki, but nope!
Black Lagoon. There were a good deal of interesting scenes between the main boy and Revy, some heart to heart talks and an (almost) kiss, but there is no romance whatsoever.

Lucky Star. C'mon Konata, you know you love Kogami *eyebrow wiggles*

Furi-Kuri was jsut so WTF. I had a horrendous "Gainax Ending" that ruined the whole show for me. Honestly, I kind of though the show would end with her murdering the boy & walking off, because that would have made about as much sence as anything, lol.
