Your first anime?

It was either Shinzo or Digimon and I was....5 or 6 when I watched them.I was just watching tv and it came on so I watched it x3 I didnt know what anime was then....
The first anime I watched when I actually knew what anime was is Lucky Star

I suppose it was Spirited Away. I saw it when I was around 4, because my mom thought I would like it. Also, one of my friends was watching it. :)

One year ago today, I hated anime.
I thought the eyes were creepy.
I didn't think they were cool.
I shunned them.
Then 8thegreat posted a video of Death the Kid being sexy beast.
I fell in love with him.
We got married.
I watched Soul Eater.
Now I am addicted to anime.
People shun me for it.
I think they should go sit in a corner and read Crona's poem.
Then they won't feel so judgemental.

Mermaid Melody was my first anime. I watched the first season, then Tokyo Mew Mew, and then I discovered there was another season! How happy must I've been! Since then I got a serious addiction to Mermaid Melody Pure.

Princess Mononoke. I was around five and had terrible nightmares.

Shaman King. i was around 9 when i first saw it on TV.

Mine was Death Note. My friends were always talking about naruto, one piece and stuff so i said " why not? " ( best decision of my life) then i saw how long naruto and one piece are, suddenly changed my mind and watched death note. i'm glad i did.

Dragon ball z of coarse! I use to be obsessed with the series. I would ask for dragon ball z toys, tapes, and games on every special occasion. I loved it when I was 4-7. Now I watch it sometimes.

Fruits Basket! I was 9 when I started reading it! >.>

Well I had seen like single episodes of the odd anime from time to time.

But a few years ago, I was spending a night at someone's house who had cable (my house had 1 channel) and about midnight I happened upon cartoon network which was showing anime. None of them caught my attention except one.

It was the pilot episode of Fooly Cooly. Watching that was like having a dream.

I instantly wanted to watch more, but I unfortunately forgot the name.

Years later, a bit over a year ago, I by pure chance happened upon art from that anime. And with that, I rediscovered the name of that anime.

I immediately got onto netflix and watched the whole series in one go.

I have been watching nothing but anime ever since :D

Mine was shugo chara. I was 7 years old and I typed in anime Chibi then bow wow! I saw Miki and Ran so I used that photo for my Power Point.

My First anime was Case Closed (Meitantei Conan's FUNimation Dub) it was on Adult Swim during five o' clock and/or five thirty in the morning and I left the TV on and woke up to the anime (which I didn't know the difference between an anime and cartoon at the time)..but anyway at first I got a little scared of it because it was exactly the type of scene (I'm not going to specify it..actually it was the scene from the picture you see below!XD) but around a week a later I thought about it and decided to ask someone in my family to wake me up at that time so I could watch it and then after that I got hooked on it..and then I started with the manga!

Well i consider this my first real anime

Well i had always thought my first anime was gosick but i was proved wrong. Back when I was like 2 or 3 my dad would always show me the 'german' cartoon called Heidi. ( our family is german...so ^^ ) i , to be honest, hated it. it was so stupid and cheesy and ugh.... ( i also watched it inthe german dub which meant i understood NOTHING) . so , my life continued until i met gosick which i loved. then i was like " I LOVE THIS!! ITS MY FIRST ANIME AND ITS AWESOME!! <3" but a few days ago i was on anime-planet.com and i was scrolling down the list of animes and reached the 'H' list. And on the list was.........Heidi. I was like, huh? Heidi's an anime? and sure enough it was, there was an original Japanese dub ( which i sadly cant find ANYWHERE ) and all the staff were japanese.... i was like....... O M G. So in reality even though my parents hate aniime, they showed me my first one. ( WHICH I STILL HATE. ) .......so yeah :3 p.s: imagine my surprise when I saw this picture.....

Well before I even knew the word anime I started watching Pokemon around 6 years old.
As I grew older I loved drawing so I always tried to find new styles.
One day I ran into the Japanese manga style and loved it.
Unfortunatley I didnt know that they had stories full of them.
Around age 11 a friend who loved Pokemon found out the whole meaning of anime and manga and introduced me to the crunchyroll app ( an app where you can watch free anime).
I was amazed once I finally understood the concept and finally around age 11 watched what I consider my first anime Shugo Chara.

Mine was Girls Bravo. I was 9 at the time XD My cousin was watching the first episode and I didn't know what the hell anime was back then. So I sat on the floor by the door, and watched about 6 episodes a day with Violet(my cousin) It was very interesting XD She never noticed me XD

I watched Howl's Moving castle as a kid and LOVED it, but my mom would only let me watch that and Kiki's Delivery Service. My first anime serie was Fruits Basket, being about 11. I was listening to music on YouTube when I came across and AMV and decided to check out what all the comments were about. Then I looked at a few episodes of Vampire Knight, still on YouTube, before giving up on hunting episodes parts by parts and going to a streaming anime site to watch Naruto.

My first anime was Digimon,after I finished watching the first two seasons it started to be gay.The main gayness was that in the Japanese version Takeru and Hikari got married,but in the cheesy American version they let the fans decide if Daisuke or Takeru got Hikari and the fans are gaywads and couldn't see that Tk should get her.I ws about 5 or 6 when i first saw it

Mine anime story isn't all that interesting. I started watching Pokemon when I was little and made a routine out of it. I loved Charizard and then I discovered Cubone and now he/she has my heart <3 That little Pokemon is so sweet and cute!

But when I started REALLY getting into anime I first watched Maria-sama Ga Miteru. My best friend Ande was totally into anime so I gave it another try because we had nothing to talk about XD And we still don't since she doesn't watch Yuri x3 I was in 9th grade btw lol

when i was 7 i saw it in tv

mew mew power! i'm not a big fan though...

it was last year when i was 12 years old and i brock my ankle, there isn't alot to do in my house so my step dad got me Netflix and i found Fruits Basket and fell in love with it at first sight

thats when i learned what anime was, and thas when i started to like it :)

My first anime was fruits basket. it was awesome, but could've used another season...

Tokyo Mew Mew and Mermaid Melody were! I just saw a video on Youtube and fell in love with it and searched what it was.I was 9 then. I do still like Mermaid Melody though... :D

Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters!!

oooh I discovered Kara no Kyoukai a little over a year ago when i was searching for a song I like on YouTube and it was an amv. No other anime Iv'e seen since has lived up to its standars (except possibly Code Geass.)

The very first anime I ever saw... and I love it now just as much as I did back then.

I remember my older sister would rent video tapes of this show and watch it. At first, I didn't know what it was. Then, I decided to watch it with her. I've been hooked ever since.

Pokemon i accidentally sat on the remote and the channel changed to it.

the first one was the seven sameri. My dad was watching it so i joined in on watching it without knowing what it was. The first one that i knew was black cat

one upon a time, i was 7 then.. i just randomly changed the channels in our TV, hoping to find something worth to watch. then i came across this. i didn't know it was called anime and it was the first time i saw one but the colors and the art style caught my attention so i stay tuned. so now, i'm an otaku... :D
