No matter what type of series Shounen, Shoujo, drama, comedy there'll be the existence of alternative shipping. This 'shipping' phenomena occurs when one tries to defy the word of the creator, or what we call as deviating from the canon/official pairing of an anime (or even any show). It usually happens when you find chemistry from two characters, even if they weren't to be together.
