Anime Question

Please help, my idiot father!

Ok has anyone heard of an anime, that the main female character has black hair.The main male character has blonde hair, and they both have swords?My dad was watching some random anime he didn't know, and he expects me to know!

No, I don't see how it could be Naruto... Nobody (except Sasuke, much later on in Shippuden) even uses swords there! And in Bleach, Ichigo has orange hair, but otherwise, I guess that makes sense...

Well, they do have blade attached to their metal arms, but I don't they would be considered as characters with swords, plus both main characters were supposed to have swords.

It could be Fairy Tail, though I think Fried is considered the main character (though, I'm not a hundred percent sure on this) and he has green hair. If it isn't Fairy Tail, then it could be InuYasha (though that is doubtful), or maybe Claymore. That's about it for animes with swords for me, anyway. Hopefully, this'll help.
