I watched Iria: Zeiram the Animation back when the Sci-Fi channel broadcasted anime on Saturdays. The opening was eerie yet intriguing. Pretty compelling for a young teenager back in the 90's when japanese anime was pretty underground, and has that same nostalgic feeling you get when watching Ghost in the Shell; tough female character kicking ass! =)

My first anime was Tokyo Mew Mew. I remember knowing nothing about anime, and in an attempt to fit in at a new school, when I saw another reading it, I went out and bought the manga. Then I researched and researched and watched the show, and I remember these girls thinking I was the coolest thing because I watched AND read Tokyo Mew Mew.
