There are a lot of people out there that are thinking Fruits Baskets, Bleach, FMA, or Naruto are the best and maybe they are now, but here is what I think.

These anime are great and very consistant on how they portray their charactors....now. ?if you'll look back on some of these shows beginnings you'll see that was not the case. They piloted their charactors to see what the viewers whated and then changed their charactors to fit what they wanted, this was all done over the first few episodes. Granted this not taking in charactor growth at all.

In my eyes, the most consistant show ive seen, at least with their charactor profiles and storyline has been none other than Full Metal Panic yes i said Full Metal Panic

Great pick! In order to expose me to other anime, my college friends showed me Full Metal Panic, Trigun, Irresponsible Captain Tylor, and Berserk initially. Anime that had good dubs so I can eventually transition into watching other good anime titles subbed.
