Well, Kuroshitsuji struck me as very sad. Also, FMA is pretty depressing for the first couple episodes, though I've only just started watching it, so I can't say about the rest. Oh, and I've heard that Clannad is really sad, but people have already said that.

It's a romance/comedy/drama anime that's going to make you laugh and cry. It's really worth it, and believe me, even if I rewatch it now, I still will cry.

Hmmm... I can suggest something that made me cry. I'm not sure if it would have the same effect on you. Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni? It's really violent, but it's amazing. Probably not the sort of thing you're looking for, but I cried a lot watching it ^^;

fushigi yuugi is a sad anime the things that happen here will make u cry.of coarse it happens almost at the end.

Since all of my answers are tooken i guess i will say Naruto since both of his parents are dead he has a demon inside him and he loses his best friend that was like a brother to him!and almost nobody care for him when he was younger and there are lots o deaths!buts theres alot of fighting and alot of episodes!

I read the manga before watching the anime and I honestly must say that the anime made me cry more. Mainly because I cried whenever the theme song played and the main reason why I cried in the manga was because I was laughing so hard. And they stretched chapter 33 to 2 episodes, which totally made it even more sad... *sobs*
