do you think crona (soul eater) is a boy or a girl?

I think Crona is Crona.
And I wish people would stop obsessing over what gender Crona is because it doesn't matter nor make any sort of difference.
In the manga it says Crona is a girl because English doesn't have neutral gender pronouns like Japanese. So they had to call him/her by one gender or the other. Also the reason why they call Crona a boy in the anime. But in reality Crona's gender is still unknown and there's a reason for it being unknown.
Crona will still be Crona whether male or female.

BUT, no matter where you look/research, even in the interviews with the manga creator, there is no mention if Crona is a female or male. It is said that Crona is actually genderless O_O lol but I still say "totally a guy" XD

In the manga she is a girl raised as a boy, and she had a male-gendered demon (Ragnarok) implanted into her blood, also, sometimes she sounds or act kinda guyish, but that is just because of how she was raised.

The anime was adapted before the manga revealed Crona was a girl, and in the english dub, they use male pronouns. So, they decided to not reveal that Crona was a girl in the anime, and left her gender ambiguous. In the manga, at the end when the main teens are all grown up, Crona is shown to have a more feminine figure. link = like this. But of course she would be happier and not have three arms (because the world is now in peace), and possibly have longer hair.

I think crona is obviously a girl.why?! ..well because he has a body of a girl...and curves and stuff...
Also I read that some thought that crona is a boy because crona said she don't know how to deal with girls, I think this doesn't mean anything because crona always says she doesn't know how to deal with everything ,that means crona doesn't know how to deal with people in general.
And I also read that some think that crona is a boy because how they address her... well I also think that this doesn't mean anything because sometimes we might address someone as a male when we mean both male and female..
There's another reason that makes me feel that crona is a girl, it is that maka treats her as if she's a girl (that's how I feel) because as seen they hug and so.. out of couple love.. like two girl friends.. and that's so cute


At last I 'd like to say that there is a possibility that crona is both boy and girl..
And even if crona is a he or a she.. like some said "crona is crona "

In canon, Crona is nonbinary.
I always headcanoned them as genderfluid, but honestly as long as you remember they are in fact nonbinary, I don't care which nb gender you headcanon them as.

It doesn't really matter either way. If I'm not mistaken, not even the original creator of Soul Eater knows if Crona is a boy or a girl, and it doesn't really affect Crona's character either way.

Maybe it's just easier for everyone to call refer to Crona as 'Him' or 'He'.

In the manga, Crona is neither boy or girl. In the anime, for American veiwers, it was easier to call him a certrain gender. So, that lead to making Crona Medusa's "son". he really, is like kind of genderless. An it. Sorry Crona, no kids for you. ;-;

I think he is no gender, but in some episodes, Medusa acknowledged her/him as "my daughter", but in some she acknowledges him as "my son" She doesn't know her own child's gender. But I myself think he is a boy.

Crona is a girl in my opinion because she wears dress, her voice actor is a girl, she says "boku" what is said by tomboish girls (yeah and males too) and I found this on soul eater.wikia >
English dub of the anime, male pronouns are used to refer to Crona, but this does not mean Crona is male. The reason for this is because by default in the English language anything that is not given a gender is referred to using male pronouns until proven otherwise.

Personally, I think Crona is a guy because when Ragnarok flipped Maka's skirt Maka got mad at Crona for looking, right? He also states "I don't know how to deal with girls" and his hair is short. He also sounds like a guy. On the other hand, Ragnarok will flip Crona's dress over at times, and you don't technically do that to guys. And his hair can look like a girl style to. Plus, his hair is pink.I like to imagine him as a guy though for the sake of Maka x Crona and Alex x Crona Xp

I choose to remain neutral and choose the side that the writer, Atsushi Ōkubo, chose. Crona's gender is simply unknown. Even though I call Crona a "he", it's because I generally find it easier to use than "she" or "it" most of the time. :)

In the early cheaters of the manga, there are panels of where Crona’s body is stretched out when SHE is going through a madness attack, the dress defines her curves as well her evident very small, Maka-sized, BOOBS

The creator of Soul Eater originally said that Crona is genderless. Crona is just Crona. Let's not obsess over Crona's gender any longer.

There are ways of scientifically describing wether someone ist male or female. It woulnd't be so hard to do either. The real question ist 'would you accept it ?', in the end anyone can proove anything, you may just believe the answer you see as most reasonable yourselfe. It doesnt matter what Cronas gender is, most people won't accept it that way. The fact of 'HE is a boy in the anime' - 'SHE is a girl in the manga' are all wrong. In the original japanese version Crona is allways described with a gender neutral pronoun. Neither do the genders of the voice actors count, because they are different in every language. Also characters like goku and vegeta would be female, because thier voice actor is (in japanese). To break it down, you should believe in what ever you believe Cronas gender is.

The creator of Soul Eater said that he never chose a gender for Crona, so technically Crona has no gender, and I honestly don't really care, I don't know why other people would care other than wanting to know what pronouns to use when referring to them.

i know it says crona is genderless but i just get these boy vibes so if they ever decide crona does have a gender it'd definatly be a boy but in the meantime ill just continue to love them ｡◕‿◕｡

Although in the manga Crona is female, in the anime I see him as a boy and can't really see him as a girl.

Honestly crona doesn't have a gender I haven't read the manga(I'm broke lol) but in the anime the say "he"i think because Ragnarok is a boy but I just call crona crona Orr they/them pronouns but I do believe that there gender is hidden for a reason that's unknown
