WHy does anime always have to show the character's mouth when he/she is talking?

i never thought of that till now?! XD

Their making it like an actual tv drama or thriller movie. It's normal to do a close up of the character if something important comes up or leads to a exciting scene. Although i'm not a fan of singing and showing the face cause it doesn't come out well.
