Anime Question

When you hear or see the word "anime" what are the FIRST character(s) and/or anime(s) that come to your mind?

For Me,When I hear anime I think of many characters and animes,but the FIRST characters that comes to my mind is Haruhi Suzumiya of the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya,Ed Elric of Full Metal Alchemist,Ran Mouri of Detective Conan,Shinichi Kudo of Detective Conan,Monkey D.Luffy of One Piece,Ino of Naruto and Yusuke Urameshi of Yu Yu Hakusho and the first anime that comes to my mind is strangely Cowboy Bebop also Full Metal Alchemist Detective Conan,Kekkaishi,Dragon Ball Z and The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya

I said characterS and AnimeS that means if more than one comes to your mind feel free to list them all!..just don't make it too long :P
