Anime Question

Should I say to my friends that I'm watchin ANIME?

I've never said to my friends that I'm watchin anime because they're sayin it's just crap.
for example one of my friends say that Pokémon is just crap, he is drawin and makin fun of it all the time.
I watched Digimon one time when an anoter friend of mine came in to my room, we should do homework together at my house then digimon was on and he asked me if I watched it, but I said: just when I'm bored...
I said it to him so he would'nt begin laugthin of me.
