yes absolutely...100%.They deserve it,probably even more so than humans,because they can't speak for themselves,so we are their voice

I totally agree with greyswan618.

I've known anti-animal people to complain about how animals don't need the right to vote or the right to education, etc. which are human rights. And hey, fair enough.

However, they then use that as an excuse to continue torturing animals and mistreating them. Yeah, no thanks. Just because they don't need every same right as a human does not mean that we should just treat them like objects. I really think there should be more laws in place to protect the safety and welfare of animals (there has been improvement over the years, but there's still a long way to go).

To put it simply, while animals don't require all the same rights that humans do, this should in no way diminish the rights that they do require.
