To the better, too. I like complicated characters and it was nice to see that Dumbledore wasn't the good grandpa we saw him as in the first books, but he had his own dark side.

It changed my understanding of him, greatly deepening it... but didn't change my opinion of him.

To the better! I liked the character already from the beginning of the books, but with the revelations of DH he became even better. i like characters with edges. Snape & Dumbledore! The world is not only black or white... there is a lot of grey, but this makes it interesting!

He put all of the Deathly Hallows and Grindelwald crap behind him. I think he was being way too hard on himself, I mean its not like he was evil. Sure, I was a little shocked. But he redeemed himself by helping to prepare Harry for his battle against Voldemort.

I'd half-suspected before then that he'd previously needed his own second chance, and that was why he was so willing to offer ones to others

I loved him even more because he shows how everyone can change and start all over again. I was a bit shocked after the revelation but hey no one's really perfect...

I admire him hugely, he's a role model. So it was difficult to learn more about his mistakes and dark side. But he's not perfect after all which is fine. I still look up to him and respect him immensely.
