Hi guys, since Alan Menken captivated many people with his famous songs. Here is my list of his songs that are considered my favourites.

1. Go the Distance

This song motivates me because it's telling me to Go the Distance, no matter how difficult the situation is.

2. Colours of the Wind

The lyrics itself deals with prejudice and racism, it's very much like the song 'We are One' from the Lion King 2: Simba's Pride.

3. A Whole New World

As the title suggests, I love traveling and I would definitely sing or listen to this song.

4. Beauty and the Beast

This song has always enchant me, in fact I want this song to play during my wedding.

5. So Close

Like Beauty and the Beast, I would play this during my wedding where the groom will dance with me, or during my class reunion.

6. Under the Sea

Since young, I have a fascination about the sea life and this song reminds me of my trip in Walt Disney World in Orlando where we took the 20 thousand Leagues Under the Sea ride.

7. I See the Light

My reason for this is quite similar to A Whole New World, because while traveling it helps open up my eyes to new world and to enjoy the country's culture.

Tale as Old as Time

These 7 songs are considered my favourites and I hope that you enjoy listening to them, I was also disappointed that Alan Menken did not compose The Lion King, Mulan and Frozen. Despite that the latter have amazing songs in it!
