After Kawaei Rina and Iriyama Anna's attack a few days ago, there has been media coverage on the incident, including western coverage.
While I searched AKB48 I saw that western news sites have been reporting on this incident. I wanted to know if Ricchan and Annin have gotten better so I decided to check it out. When I was reading they sateted the thing I already knew and I was about to click out of the page when I saw Miichan's name in later paraghphs. My first thought was that somehow she had gotten hurt at the hadshke event too. I kept reading and this is what it said;
"The band made international headlines last year when one of its members, Minami Minegishi, shaved her head and apologised to fans in a video posted online. She had been caught spending a night with her boyfriend."- BBC News
This got under my skin. You're suppose to tell the readers that may not know who AKB48 is who they are. Of all the ways to intoduce AKB48 you chose a scandal that was blown out of proportion by the western media. Western media made it look like management forced her to shave her head while in reality she chose to do it herself. Not to mention that this came out of nowhere. The readers want to know if the girls that were hurt are okay, not about another member's, that was not involved in the situation, scandal.
Next time don't throw two negatives. Two young girls were hurt, don't throw more negative to the situation. Try thinking about the positive things that the group has done.
