Rumors has it that Akashi is the president of Rakuzan High Student Council and he's only first year. Moreover he's also a top student in Rakuzan High. Wao! Can anyone believe it? I do since he said he never lost so maybe he's excellent in academy too.

well it has high chances because Seijuro is good at everything which was stated in the anime so recalling "everything" he must be good at academics but being student council president... maybe but in some fanfic he is student council presedent

It's not just a rumor though... He IS the student council president in Rakuzan even though he just a first year. Everyhing is confirmed in the Q&A section in the manga. You can check it out in Kuroko no Basket wikia if you curious...
