Advice Question

Is lead real dangerous?!

Okay, so I was sharpening my pencil and listening to my friend. Then I accidentally stabbed my hand with my pencil. It didn't hurt, but suddenly I remembered something about lead poisoning. There isn't a big piece of lead stuck in my hand, but there is some in there....

I actually have a friend with a small piece of pencil lead stuck in her head (don't ask, long story) and when she went to the hospital the doctor told her that she was in no danger and that eventually her skin would grow over the lead (you can still see the piece but it doesn't hurt her).
Lead poisoning is dangerous but that's usually only if you consume it in some way. Also, when people talk about lead poisoning it usually means it came from Lead Paint (that's why they don't allow lead paint in the U.S. anymore).

Lead isn't used in pencils anymore, the inside is made of graphite. So no need to worry!
