Note: I'd just like to say that this is my first ever fan fiction and i have only seen up to season 4 so have a very limited knowledge compared to others. Enjoy.

It had been two days since he had returned. Somehow, through all the different dimensions, until he found the right one. It had been two days since the portal had opened and untold evil had poured out. It had been two days since he had returned. The Lich.
"We can't do this for much longer" said Finn, tired from the recent skirmish.
"Sure we can buddy" replied Jake.
"I dunno Jake. These knights, they weren't made for fighting."
Finn was right. The ragtag bunch of knights they had gathered from various princesses were useless. One half didn't fight, just sat back and cheered as monstrous things came forth, and the other half injured themselves more than they did the enemy.
"Don't give up hope buddy. We've sent for help," said Jake.
"It's been two days Jake. I'm not sure help's coming," replied Finn.
Meanwhile in the Fire Kingdom...
"But daddy!"
"But nothing young lady! I will not let you borrow the royal guard! I've just had them cleaned!"
The Fire King gestured towards the ranks of his finest soldiers, some with lava still dripping from their hair.
"But Finn and Jake called for help, and you're just going to ignore them?!" screamed the Fire Princess.
"Of course. I'm evil. That's what I do."
The Fire Princess screeched her fury, her body transforming into pure elemental fury.
"THIS IS SO UNFAIR!!!!!!!!" she screamed.
Somewhere in the Candy Kingdom Castle...
Peppermint Butler ran through yet another set of doors
Where is she, he thought, This is important.
Peppermint Butler burst through the final set of doors to see Princess Bubblegum putting the final touches on her latest experiment.
"And I place this into... Ahh Peppermint Butler, what is it." she said in a kind voice.
"Madam, The Lich returned two days ago and Finn and Jake are now possibly the only shield between The Lich and the rest of Ooo!"
"What! Why am i just hearing about this!"
"Apparently the Hotdog knight that was to carry the message to you got distracted by a butterfly and chased that for half a day, before a gnome knight found it passed out and then carried it here."
"Hmmm. I must talk to Hotdog Princess about those knights. But first things first. Gather the troops. We march immediately.
In the Nightospere...
Marceline casually walked up to her dad.
"Hey dad, can there's apparently a fight going on. Can I go?"
"Sure, be back whenever" answered Hunson Abadeer, not even glancing up from his paper.
Back to where we started...
"Jake watch out!"
Jake ducked in time so that the kamikaze seal narrowly avoided him. He then grabbed it back into the oncoming waves of monsters.The seal exploded on impact and the wave faltered for a second, but then continued.
This was the toughest battle Finn and Jake had ever been in. They were tired, hungry and the monsters just kept coming. They were slowly being overwhelmed. Jake slowly began to decrease hi size till he was nearly back to normal, instead of being the size of a well-fed monster truck. Finn arms were heavier than lead and he could barely block the attacks of the blade wielding hedgehog. Finn and Jake eventually found themselves at each others backs.
"Jake."
"Yeah bro"
"I think this is the end"
" I know man. You were the best bro ever."
"You too man."
That is when the Banana Guard arrived. The Banana Guard may not be the best fighting force in the land, but they make up for it with newly acquired numbers.
Finn and Jake looked around with looks of surprise and happiness, especially when Princess Bubblegum arrived on Lady Rainicorn's back.
"Lady!" Jake yelled with relief.
(Side note: I can't speak/type whatever language Lady Rainicorn speaks in so just use your imagination and pretend that she's speaking in her natural dialect)
"Jake!"
They engaged in a tender embrace while Finn and Peebles engaged in conversation.
"Nice of you to show up" said Finn
"The hotdog knight you sent got lost" Peebles replied
"Oh Glob. I knew I couldn't trust Steve with something so important. But you're hear now and that's what matters." said Finn
At this time the Banana Guard had pushed the enemy back into retreat and were returning back to base camp.
"Have you seen the Lich?" asked PB
"Once. When he came out of the portal. After that, no. He's just been hanging back and letting his monsters do the fighting." replied Finn. "I guess we should be happy, but not seeing for him for this long has put me on edge, like he's planning something big."
It was at this moment that Marceline decided to drop down from the sky.
"Yeah, that's what I would do" she said casually.
"Marceline! Thank Glob you came!" Finn exclaimed."We could really use your help."
"No problem. I love a good fight." Marceline said.
"This is great, except for one thing. Have either of you heard from the Fire Kingdom or Flame Princess?" asked Finn
"No" replied both Marceline and PB.
Then, they heard shouting from nearby. It was one of the Banana Guards.
"There's a portal opening!" he screamed.
Finn and Jake ran over, closely followed by Marceline and Peebles.They got there just as the figure tumbled out. It was a girl.More peculiar was that she was human. Even more peculiar was that she looked exactly like Finn.
"Who are you?" asked Finn, with a look of astonishment plastered on his face.
"My name is Fionna" she said.
