Story:
Sedge was born first of his family in his home deep in the Forest of the Unknown. Next was his sister, Azalee. From childhood onward, their father taught them how to fight and scavenge. However the most important lesson their father probably ever taught was moving on, when Sedge's mother passed when he was eight. He grew, and as he grew, his village's days counted down, until he went on a usual hunt when his village was ransacked by the Forest wizard. The wizard laid waste to the entire village, and it's denizens. Sedge returned to the wreckage of his home to find the wizard destroying the last house; Sedge's house. Blinded by rage, Sedge charged headfirst ready to kill. Sadly, Sedge was not strong enough and was blasted back into the forest, leaving a trail of broken trees ending with a broken elf fighting for air. Darkness closed in, and as he drifted into death's realm, a pink anomaly rescued Sedge from certain death.
Sedge awakens in a unfamiliar place (the candy kingdom's infirmary). His wounds were treated, but not completely healed. Two voices were talking behind privacy curtains about a patient. "He's the only survivor, that makes him the only remnant of that overgrowth."." I wonder what made the plants act like that..." replied the other voice. "Either way, he stays here until I find out what happened". Not a chance, sedge thought. In that moment, Sedge gathered what strength he had and made a run for it. Abandoning any form of secrecy, he was in full sprint to the forest. He couldn't believe he was the only one. Tailed by banana guards, he finds his way back to his village. He heads straight to his house, the doorway closed by vines. After a hack and slash, the sight was too much to bear. Frozen with grief, he did the only thing he could; run. He ran deeper and deeper into the forest, where he would never be found. Little does he know that a boy and his dog hired by the princess of candy to track Sedge down were hot on his trail...
