After spending a week as a guest mentor on "American Idol," Adam Lambert learned a few things about this year's crop of contestants. First and foremost, he wasn't all that shocked to see Katie Stevens and Andrew Garcia get the boot after the pair turned in "sleepy" performances.

"You know, I think at this point in the competition, it comes down to 'Do you want to be there, or do you not want to be there?' Adam Lambert Says 'Unplugged' Covers Let Him 'Play With The Melody'

'When we created the songs, we actually started on the computer, so doing it unplugged, this is the first time for that,' he says.

Adam Lambert taped an appearance on the Oprah Winfrey show on Friday afternoon, and it appears all went well, according to reports from the twitterverse and messageboards.
