Haha I say Voldie because of pronunciation reasons... I think that the last y-sound should be short if it's Voldy. You know, like Wizards of Waverlie Place.

It's grammatically correct. The "ie" ending would be used for plural, as in, "Voldies."
Also, what hannabelle said. After seeing it written that way in the book, it just seems... wrong to think of it as any other possible spelling. Word of God, after all.
